(“Company”, “we”, “us”, or “our”)

1. Introduction
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern all agreements, quotations, and works carried out by Silver Crest Developments Ltd, a UK registered company. By engaging our services, you (“Client”, “you”, or “your”) agree to be bound by these Terms.
2. Scope of Work
- All services will be set out in a written quotation or contract provided to the Client.
- Any changes, additions, or variations to the agreed works must be confirmed in writing and may affect costs and completion time.
- We reserve the right to refuse additional works outside the agreed scope unless a variation order is signed.
3. Quotations & Payments
- Quotations are valid for 30 days from the date issued unless otherwise stated.
- A deposit may be required before work commences.
- Payment terms will be specified in the invoice or contract. Unless otherwise agreed, full payment is due within 7 days of invoice date.
- Late payments may incur interest under the Late Payment of Commercial Debts (Interest) Act 1998.
4. Client Responsibilities
The Client agrees to:
- Provide access to the site/property as reasonably required.
- Ensure the site is safe and free of hazards prior to commencement.
- Obtain any necessary consents, approvals, or permissions (planning, landlord, local authority) unless otherwise agreed.
- Notify us promptly of any issues, changes, or concerns during the project.
5. Health & Safety
- We will carry out all works in compliance with applicable health and safety laws.
- Clients and occupants must not interfere with works or equipment in a way that could cause danger.
- The Client must inform us of any hazards or risks present on site before works begin.
6. Materials & Warranties
- All materials supplied by us remain our property until paid in full.
- We use reputable suppliers and aim to provide high-quality workmanship.
- Any manufacturer warranties for materials or equipment will be passed on to the Client where applicable.
- We provide a workmanship guarantee of 12 months from completion, covering defects arising. This does not cover wear and tear, misuse, or lack of maintenance.
7. Delays & Force Majeure
- While we aim to complete works within agreed timelines, delays may occur due to weather, supply issues, or unforeseen circumstances.
- We are not liable for delays outside of our reasonable control.
8. Liability & Insurance
- We hold public liability insurance and employer’s liability insurance appropriate for construction works.
- Our liability is limited to the value of the contract.
- We are not responsible for indirect, consequential, or financial losses (such as loss of rent, income, or business) unless caused by our negligence.
9. Termination
- Either party may terminate the contract with written notice if the other party breaches these Terms and fails to remedy within a reasonable period.
- The Client must pay for all completed works and materials supplied up to the termination date.
10. Dispute Resolution
- In the event of a dispute, both parties agree to attempt resolution through discussion in good faith.
- If unresolved, disputes may be referred to mediation or adjudication in accordance with UK construction law.
- The governing law is that of England and Wales.
11. General
- These Terms, together with the quotation/contract, represent the entire agreement between the Client and Silver Crest Developments Ltd.
- No waiver of rights shall be valid unless in writing.
- We may update these Terms at any time, and the latest version will apply to new contracts.
